WorkPay Notes does not collect, store, or share any personal data. Your work records stay on your device and in your own iCloud.
All data you enter in WorkPay Notes — including work entries, pay rates, tips, and notes — is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
If you have iCloud enabled, your data may be synced across your devices via Apple's CloudKit. This sync is handled entirely by Apple's infrastructure and is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to your iCloud data.
To learn which features people use, the app sends anonymous usage events through Aptabase, a privacy-first analytics service hosted in the EU. An event says what happened in the app (for example "a day was logged" or "a PDF was exported") together with coarse context: the app and iOS version, the device model, the phone's and the app's language, the country, and whether WorkPay Pro is active. Subscription events are counted the same way — for example that a purchase, renewal or restore happened — without the price you paid or anything about your Apple ID.
Events never contain your name, amounts, notes, employer names, or any identifier that could follow you or your device over time. The country is worked out from the connection; the IP address itself is not stored. The statistics are not used for advertising and are not shared with anyone.
You can export your data as a JSON backup or PDF report at any time from within the app. Exported files are saved to a location you choose and are not transmitted to any server.
The only third-party service is Aptabase, for the anonymous statistics described above. Subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store; we never see your payment details. WorkPay Notes does not use advertising networks.
WorkPay Notes does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app does not collect personal information from any user.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
